21 sleeps.
It appears that I've been a bit MIA from the blogger world lately. I typically come into work, log into my Google account and browse through Google Reader to see what I've missed. I guess my life has just been crazy busy and I can't find the time in between work tasks, or maybe eBay has consumed my
Internet attention. Either way, I need to smarten up!
21 sleeps.
Scott celebrated his 25
th birthday a couple weeks ago, and this past weekend we drove to
Didsbury to spend the weekend with my family (Mom, Dad, Aunts, Uncle, Cousins, Ron, and Lanette and Brody briefly) and Scott tried his hand at hunting. He had a great time out in the bush, and even had the opportunity to become a "real hunter." Dad said that he aimed right where he told him too, and he just barely missed his target. I didn't ever think Scott would turn into a hunter, but you can bet that he's fitting in beautifully with the men in our family and my Dad is happy to have some boys to teach gun
slingin'. We came home with happy hearts, full bellies, a new TV and a gun. Lucky me! Thanks for that one, Uncle Lenny.
Work has been busy, both jobs, and school is wrapping up over the next 2 weeks. You can imagine that this means final projects, presentations, and exams, but I am ecstatic that it'll all be finished on December 3rd. I get a couple weeks to relax before heading home on the 16
th for our 2 week holiday. 21 sleeps.
Friday is Scott's Christmas party, Saturday I have to get together with a couple ladies to work on our presentation for Organizational Behaviour, hopefully meet
with Mike, Kristen, and their puppy Juno to see if she'll get along with the
Rockstar, and Sunday is Grey Cup. We also have to fit in an Anniversary celebration (3 years, holy
toledo!) and a fancy
shmancy dinner.
I am almost done my Christmas shopping! The
Lundquist clan draws names for the gift exchange, and this year I got Brody. I had a hard time in the beginning coming up with a great gift idea for him, but I think I've hit the nail on the head this time. I hope he likes it! I also had some trouble with presents for Scott, as it was just his birthday (PS3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and all the gear) and our
anniversary next week, but I have also managed to sort out that fiasco! Stocking
stuffers are covered for my family, as well as his, and aside from a few things I need to get when we get to Vancouver, I'm all done. It feels great!
I have been working on my Christmas Wish List this year (thanks
BlackBerry update for wiping out my entire Memo Pad and notes!!!) and I've pretty much figured it out. If anyone wants to get me a
TeaCup Piggy, or a
Macbook Pro, you know where to find me.
If you could have any one thing for Christmas, completely materialistic and fabulous, what would it be? (I don't want to hear World Peace, feed the hungry, save an Endangered species. We all want those things, so gimme something real good).
21 sleeps. Did I mention?
